Legal Question in Employment Law in California

sent home for looking ill

I went to work and was sent home by my employer as I looked ill. Do I get paid for that day? I am an hourly employee. Also, they changed our pay schedyule from bi-weekly to bi-monthly, making the change effective immeidately. Is that legal?

You should be paid for a partial day, either 2 or 4 hours, depending on your work schedule.
