Job abandonment

What constitutes Job abandonment in the State of California. I have been told not reporting to work for three consecutive days nor notifying work that you are going to be absent constitutes job abandonment. If so could you quote me the section and law for this issue.

Such an issue will be determined by the employer's policies. A policy along the lines you describe would not be unreasonable.
