Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I was Layed off on April 30, 2009 from the Hertz Corportation. It was the third round of mass layoffs. I am hearing now that they are going to be hiring back at my position. Do they have to call me back first before they can hire someone new at that position?

No legal requirement unless you have a union contract or written employment agreement that requires it.
