Legal Question in Employment Law in California

In order for a Certified Nurse Aide's to work in a assisted living facility they must meet some specific guidelines from the facility, one of those things is a physical exam by a doctor releasing them to perform the job duties as assigned. As the employment agency, sending people to these facilities, if we require a Dr. visit, are we obligated to pay for it? If we suggest that a physical exam will help them get more assignments, is this a proper approach?

If requiring employees to pass a physical is a condition of employment, yes, you must pay for the doctor's visit.
