payroll error 2 months ago

2 months ago I was on medical leave. Somone in payroll entered the information from my timecard incorrectly. They used 5:pm instead of military time (17:00). Now I'm being told that they wil deduct the money from a future paycheck. Is this fair?

It is difficult to understand from your question exactly what the payroll error was. However, if you were accidentally paid for time you did not work, the employer is entitled to recover that money.
