Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Pregnancy Disability

I have an employee is stil under our 4-month probationary rule. She started on July 16th. She informed us she was pregnant in August and has been having problems. She went to the doctor and he has said he wants her on disability for a month with possibly longer period of time to follow. We cannot allow this position to be vacant. Extremely critical position. Do we have to hold this position for her as she was still under our probation and had not passed it yet, and cannot pass it if she isn't here to do the work. Do I have to keep this employee???
