Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Recently after fileing a petition with superior court in a two year court contested case. My attorney informs me that he has had his licence suspended for a non related disiplinary action and nameing me as the new attorny in my case. I have tried to get new representation, but cant even get an attorney to speak with me. I am broke, homeless and althogh I know the issues, laws ect of my case, I have no idea how to present my case in court or file petions to the court, when to ask for discovery.

Please e-mail to me directly your case number and the county in which your case is filed. Perhaps I could at least give you some guidance. An attorney cannot practice law if he or she is suspended. However, it would have been prudent if your former attorney assisted you in finding a new attorney to represent you.

You could try contacting the Legal Aid Society in your area, and the Lawyers Referral Service, seeking ProBono or Limited Means counsel. Also contact the local Christian Legal Services office.
