Employers can request salaried employees keep records of the time worked for a variety of reasons. For example, it may be a factor in how much to bill a client for the services they provide.

However, it could also mean you are not truly an exempt employee from overtime compensation. There are other factors that go into that consideration. But that is not your question.

So yes, employers can require salaried employees to fill out time cards.
