Legal Question in Employment Law in California

UI Eligibility

My job has been impacted and will be eliminated at end of July. Per HR, a ''comparable'' job has been identified. literally, I was forced to take the new job. New job does not have the 10% language differencials, which according to HR, was a premium. Frankly, I do not like the new job at all. Could I apply UI based on my circumstance?

Re: UI Eligibility

Generally, EDD does not allow benefits to an employee who quits a job just because the employee doesn't like the job. There is a very stringent "good cause" requirement that must be met and you haven't stated sufficient reasons that would warrant good cause.
