Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I work for a mom-pop co in CA. My boss cut the hours of two full time employees to six hours per day Mon to Fri. He wants me to dock 30 minutes from their pay each day even if they do not take a lunch break. Is this legal?

Cutting the hours back to six is perfectly legal. Docking their pay if they do not take a lunch break is not only illegal, he will owe them statutory penalties on top of their back wages if they do not get their breaks.
