Re: Moving out

Write a letter to landlord, and send by certified mail. Report the problems to your local building and/or housing inspector/

What needs repair? You have to let me know the exact nature of the problem.

You may be able to break the lease, depending on the inspectors' report(s).

Please resubmit with more details.

Re: Moving out

You need to give written notice to your landlord of the violations of your lease and of the warranty of habitability, and let the landlord know that you will be moving out due to its refusal to abide by these rules. Then 21 days after you move out, if your landlord does not refund your deposit, sue for 3 times that amount in small claims court. Also, demand that your landlord do a walk through and get a copy of any alleged damages.
