Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I broke a tooth on a hard object in the food while eating out . I advised the wait staff who called someone. I asked for the name of the Insurance and the manager, but were not provided. I did get a kitchen staff members name and he provided me with a number. After several calls an insurance company did contact me.

They took the report, opened a claim and got my dental info from my dentist and the dentist that did the tooth repair (I has visiting family 250 miles from home). The insurance company declined the claim stating: unknown object other than the chicken caused injury and no finding of negligence on the part of the policyholder.

Is the resteraunt resposable for the dental bill and what should I do now?

That might depend on whether you were eating mashed potatoes or clams. I would contact a local lawyer for a consultation.

Good luck.
