Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
I had the kugal mesh patch inserted into my body after having a double( ventral and umbilical ) hernia operation. I actually had to have 2 operations because the first time it got horribly infected. This was almost 10 years ago,but more recently (2 years ago) I had to have 2 more operations which I beleive were caused by the kugal mesh patch breaking up inside me. I had anal fistula(2 of them) and these were very painful operations and recovery periods, My problem is i cannot get my medical records from the Hospital. Ive gone to the Hospital and signed a release form and they told me that i would receive them in 3 weeks but they never came. I called several times and then finally the woman who worked in the medical record dept. told me that they couldn't find them. I don't know what I can do--I need the records for my law suite.

You should subpoena the records and if they don't produce them haul them into court for contempt of the subpoena. If they truly cannot find them, however, you may be out of luck.
