Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Can someone claim 50% ownership, and not pay their 50%?

(ex)Girlfriend and I purchase a home as joint tenants. One year later, I terminate relationship, asking her to leave, and offer to buy her out. We reach an agreement based upon market value, less expenses assuming we had to sell, and then split 50/50 (even though I had paid 2/3's). I refinance loan, pay her off, and remove her from title. From the time she first moved out, she refused to contribute any funds towards her 50% responsibility of the numerous house payments I had to make (to save my credit (and hers!)), in addition to two property tax payments. Can I now sue her for 50 % of all expenses I incurred during this 3 month period?
