Legal Question in Telecomm Law in California

E-mail Privacy Law

Is it against the law for someone to access your private HOME e-mail without your permission and they do not live with you? And after they access them they are distributed publicly. Will the e-mails hold up in court? The e-mails contain intimate communication with another woman.
