Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Camera Ticket

I got a camera ticket in mail . I live in the same town where i got the ticket and i noted that there are no signs saying ''camera is installed (or something like that)''. Can i fight saying i was not aware of this in the court. In some website i saw that the sign shoud be visible and in certain dimension. I dont see any sign at all. What are my chances ? Also, is it possible to fight in the court using mathematical calculations ( i believe the yellow signal length is wrong by 0.1 seconds). Please advise.

It appears that you have a defense to the citation. You will have to decide how much you want to fight this on principle compared to the time and costs of fighting it.

Re: Camera Ticket

Thank you for your inquiry.

The simple answers to your questions are (1) yes, and (2), yes. The defenses you've listed in your question certainly would apply to fight the ticket, and most attorneys who practice in this area know many, many more, all of which will help you fight this ticket at trial.

I hope that this helps, but if you need more information, have other questions, or feel that you need legal representation, please feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. I am happy to help in any way that I can.
