Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

consequences of exhibition of speed ticket

I recieved an exhibition of speed ticket in when I was 17 in California. I'm know older. I was advised by my parents to pay the ticket, and I did. I later learned the seriousness of this tickets and it's reprecussions with my insurance. When I found out what exhibition of speed was I knew that I had done nothing near that serious. I need to know whether there is anything I can do about this ticket that I already paid? Will I be able to take traffic school at any time to have a better record? It's costing me a lot of money. Thankyou.

Re: consequences of exhibition of speed ticket

It is very unlikely that you will be able to go to traffic school or do anything to remove this ticket from your record. Withdrawing a plea is difficult even when attempted shortly after the plea is entered. Your facts indicated thait ise had been several years since the ticket was received and the fine was paid. Before you take any action contact the dmv and find out houw much longer it will be on your record.
