Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My husband recently passed away. We do not own property or have assets. He does have pension, social security and a life insurance policy. I am named beneficiary to all. Will there be a lengthy probate?

Thank you for your time

So long as you were named as the beneficiary of this pension and life insurance policy a probate should not be required. You should contact the insurance company, the company providing the pension and the social security administration as soon as possible.
