property ownership after death

I have no husband or children. Where will my property go when I die ?

if you do not have a will or revocable trust specifying who will receive your property, under california law your estate will pass by the law of intestacy.

You may dispose of your property by willing it to anyone, for example a friend or a charitable organization.

If you do not make a will, and your property is of significance, likely as not some distant relative will emerge from the ether to claim it.
