Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

who in my company should I be dealing with?

I've been with my company for less than 1 yr. I have just filed a claim. My work comp doctor is dealing directly with my supervisor's manager instead of HR. Is this proper or should my claim be handled by HR? Catch 22 I work for a worker's compensation insurance company that uses the doctor I saw as my provider.

Re: who in my company should I be dealing with?

Since you work for a workers' compensation carrier, it would seem to me that you have the insight to know how the carrier treats injured workers on a daily basis. With that, you sould be inspired to seek representation as soon as possible as you understand what awaits you. So to answer your question, your PTP should be working with you only. The only communication your doctor should have with your employer is when your employer receives a temporary disability note, a permanent disability note, or a work modification note. Once your employer receives any of the above-metioned notes, they should respond accordingly.
