Re: mental health- depression- due to back injury

It depends upon the date of your original injury. You can only add to the claim within five years from the date of injury or if the case has not previously settled.

Be advised that psychiatric claims relating to depression are very messy. You will probably need an attorney.

First discuss your problem with your back doctor to get a proper referral. Get appropriate medical care whether it is related to your work injury or not.

Yes it is possibly related, but that is a medical question. If you do not have an attorney, I suggest you get one. If you have one, please tell your attorney of your concern so that they can help you get an appropriate evaluation and proper care.
