Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

settlement

What exactly is settlement? If you receive the medical treatment prescribed, ie surgery and physical therapy, are you entitled to an additional pay out afterwards? If so, can the amount be negotiated? And, if injury were to reoccur does that mean that one can no longer seek treatment for that injury if the need were to arise.

Re: settlement

You are entitled to compensation in a form of a settlement for your permanent disabilities which has to be determined by a neutral doctor such as QME or AME. You are also entitled to future treatment, surgery, therapy if necessary. You are also entitled to vocational rehabilitation. Feel free to call us at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation.
