my uncle just passed away. we just found out that his girlfriend went to his house and pawned off some of our jewellery. his daughter took the pawn tickets and left for new york. we live in bc canada. how can we get our jewellery back?

We presume that either your uncle had a will and you are the executor or that if he had no will, you are the closest relative. Being either will give you the standing you need to ask the Court for appointment as his legal representative in probate. This is an issue that is not uncommon; you need to seek legal advice because the remedy is to obtain a court order for return of the items. You should also make a complaint of theft to the police.
