Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Colorado

I had let someone i know barrow my truck so that they could use the tools in it to work on his vehicle! i had fell & broke my hip& wasnt able to drive! the truck was to be parked at the a certain address & left at the address & no one else was to remove the vehicle! without me knowing! the truck was taking & abandoned! it was then towed & put in impound for over a month & i had no idea, because i thought it was parked! i recently found out that my truck was missing & call the police! they said they had the truck towed but never tried to contact me & now i pretty much lost my truck because of the cost to get it out! the impound lot wants $1850. i live off my fixed income (ssi), i have alot of personal items in the vehicle, & dont know what to do! the police department scared the person in which i gave permission to drive the vehicle, into giving a false statment! what legal rights do i have and what can i do to save me from losing my vehical

Your best bet is to sue the person who promised to park your truck. It appears that they violated the agreement and caused the loss of your vehicle. Small claims court might be a good option.
