I have recently moved out of a rented house, with buying the deposit of 1400. The landlady who i singed the lease with got her forms through free landlord forms.com. She has refused to answer my calls since i moved out and I couldnt get in touch with her. I went to house to talk to her and i been told to come the next day as i arrived she called me and she told she called the cops on me. i got an email from the person who recommended her to me with a bogus list of things she fixed and cleaned the house with. how can i get the deposit money back???

Thanks

I'm not sure what "buying the deposit of 1400" means, however, so long as you didn't break the lease and you left the place in fairly good shape then you can bring an action against her for your deposit back. You may be entitled to more than the deposit if she withheld it unreasonably. I suggest you send her a letter in writing demanding the deposit back before you file the action.
