Labrador scares cat

My Lab got loose and went to--name removed--neighbors house where he scared--name removed--maine coon cat that was on--name removed--cat run. The cats owner attempted to release the cat and was bitten. The result was nine stiches to her hand and possible need for plastic sergery. Does she have--name removed--legal leg to stand on?

Was she bitten by the dog or the cat? I dont think it makes much difference but I was curious.

Connecticut has a strict liability dog bite statute. Unless she was teasing or tormenting your dog, and it doesnt sound like she was, then you would be liable to her for her damages.

Your home owner's insurance will cover you. They do know you have a dog, right :)?
