Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Connecticut

house under contract

I am buying a house, I have signed a contract, the real estate agent of the house I am buying is holding a open house on sunday. Is this a breach of contract?(the contract has a closing date)

Re: house under contract

You would have to look to the terms of the contract you signed.

Re: house under contract

That does seem a bit odd. Are there certain contengencies in your contract that have not been met as yet (mortgage contingency for example?) Ask YOUR agent if the property is under "Show" status in the MLS instead of "Deposit" Status. If you have a deposit down on the place, then you should be all set.

Please call or email me if I can be of help. I have been closing loans in CT for 20 years.
