Internet\email harassment

Last year, a person sent an email from another state to several of my co-workers with derogatory pictures and captions. To ensure this doesn't continue, what is my best option to stop it?

Send the miscreant a letter threatening appropriate legal action if this unsavory conduct continues. (You may wish to consider hiring an attorney for a couple of hours of his or her time to write the letter to give it greater effect.)
