Legal Question in Discrimination Law in District of Columbia

Discriminated & Embarrased at Ruby Tuesday

I visited a local Ruby Tuesday in DC a while back with my cousin and girlfriend and experienced my first reality of racial discrimination. Being young and a foreigner in a strange country made me ill. We were the last to be served afterwaiting for an hour of service, she asked if we had money to be in there and why were we in there.... She stepped on my toe and did not say sorry and shouted at us and embarrased us after me asking for my chage of $1.+. she then after called the police and told them that we did not pay and that we should be banned from that local. The police asked the situation and for the receipt and we told her that she did not give it back rather she threw the $1.+ and stormed in her office and called the cops. Being young and naive and to keep the peace because we were all late for work that evening, we signed the paper to be banned not knnowing the whole aspect of the situation. I sthere anything that we or I can do to move forward from this horrid experience?

You might want to schedule a consultation with a local attorney to review the banning paper which you signed and the other relevant facts surrounding this unhappy incident in order to determine what remedies might be realistically available to you(if any).
