How will a chapter 7 or 13 bankrupcy affect future tax refunds?

Generally, discharge from bankruptcy, Chapter 7 or 13, has no effect on future tax refunds unless there are unpaid tax liabilities of the debtor which were not discharged in the bankruptcy.
