Legal Question in Technology Law in Florida

Libel/Slander/Defamation

I am in FL and have sent the following two emails to two different sponsors of a technical conference.

1st email: I would like to know on what basis your organization sponsors a conference? Do you sponsor any conference that collects registration fee and accepts any junk presentation? (I have attached a copy of this conference announcement in my email)

2nd email: I saw your organization is sponsoring this conference. I would like to bring to your attention that this conference simply accepts any presentation and collects registration fee. In other words, I believe, it is intended for money collection. I am bit surprised to see your organization name as a sponsor. Many people know that this conference is a biggest technical scam to raise money at the expense of technical quality. Please consider my email as a whistle blower and do your own Investigation. (I have attached a copy of this conference announcement in my email)

It seems one or both of these sponsors have sent these emails to the conference organizer and the organizer is threatening me by email to sue me for Libel/Slander/etc

Did I commit any crime? What legal choices I have now?

Re: Libel/Slander/Defamation

If the email causes the conference organizer to lose money, you could be sued for libel or interfering with a business contractual relationship.

Of course, if you can prove what you say is true, then you have a defense to a libel lawsuit.
