contract forgery

a customer forged the intials of the contractor on a legally binding construction contract. does the contractor have any legal grounds?The contractor has the orginal contract, and the customers lawyer has the altered contract.

It depends on what you want to accomplish. Forgery can defeat a contract claim if you can prove the forgery and it may give rise to a civil or criminal claim. It all depends on the facts.
