Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Bad business
I had a salesmen come to my door selling meat. I told him I had to consult with my boyfriend he said that if didn't want it he would pick it up. I called his cell about 10 min. after he left his wife had the phone and told me to call him after 9pm at the warehouse. After talking to several people and getting nothing but a run around I was told it was to late to do anything about it. Since then I have called newspapers, television stations, the Sheriff's Office, Better business bureau and consumer services. Consumer Services did call me from the company and I asked him if their were anyother complaints against them he said several. I said well maybe we have a class action he said maybe. I have several pages of documentation and will do whatever is necessary to stop them from doing this to anyone else. Please any advice you could give me would be great. Thanks

At first blush I would tell you to just enjoy your dinner.
There is a federal code of regulations that may allow you to get out of the contract if you cancel within 3 days. It pertains to door to door solicitations. Contact me further if you should require further information at (305) 769-3000.
