I think you are asking whether an attorney has any responsibility to verify that the information being provided to him by his client is true before filing a lawsuit against someone, and if that attorney could be liable to the defendant (person sued) for having not verified the client's allegations.

If that is your question, then you need to realize that our legal system is an adversarial system, not inquisitorial. This means that our system brings out truth by allowing both sides to present their arguments. Then the judge decides what evidence he believes is true. The American lawyer is an advocate, he is ethically bound to believe his client unless he has some convincing evidence that the client is trying to commit a fraud upon the court. Even then, the lawyer is not liable for the arguments that he makes on behalf of a client.
