Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

My fiancee was in a wreck on his motorcycle over a year ago. It was ruled a pure accident - no one was ticketed.

He was taken to the hospital. He didn't sign any papers. They drugged him and gave him a CAT scan and a few other things.

He now has a bill for over $20,000 that we can't afford to pay.

Many things on the itemized bill are priced unreasonably. Also, one CAT scan shouldn't cost almost $17,000.

Is the bill worth fighting? Or would it be better to file bankruptcy? And if so, what are the pros and cons to filing for bankruptcy?

Accident or not, your bf must have had insurance. Otherwise, there is a possible case for dangerous road conditions and you could sue the state. Need more info -
