judgement issued

I need to know what the exemptions are that pertain to garnishment of wages on a judgement issued on a repossessed car in 1987.The judgement was issued in the beginning of dec 2000.

Re: exemptions to wage garnishment

The wages of a head of household -- a person responsible for another's support -- are exempt from garnishment. Other people's wages can be garnished up to a maximum of 25% of disposable earnings.
