What is the difference between a possession with intent to distribute 3rd degree felony drug charge as opposed to the sell of a controlled substance 3rd degree felony drug charge?

There is little practical difference and they both score the same on the sentencing guidelines, but the drug statute has a lot of hidden exceptions so it's best to talk to an attorney in your area if you are charged with one or both of these offenses.
