Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

friend accused of false domestic violence

friends soon to be ex started breaking into his house screaming that he was hiding a girl in there. he opened the door to ask her to leave and she slammed on the door with her body to open it and hit her cheek bone on the door. she called several girls in his cell phone accusing them of flings with him, when she didnt get the answers she wanted she said she was calling the cops and telling them he hit her and putting him in jail so he couldnt talk to them anymore. the reason i know this is cuz i was the girl on the phone when she said this. i called the police to tell them to check on them and they blew me off saying he had a cell he could call himself if he needed help, ten minutes later i got a call from an arresting officer telling me to bail my friend out of jail in the morning. since then she has agreed to drop the charges if he works the marriage out, however in fl yes the state most likely will pick it up. since then she has sold all of his belonging, empties his bank got him fired and was even given his residence even though she wasnt living there, so hes homeless, jobless, moneyless and most of all hopeless, the attorneys told him to claim guilty since he cant pay 10grand to get out of this.. is there anyway out?? help

Re: friend accused of false domestic violence

10G sounds a bit high if the charge is simply domestic battery. i would shop around. all you can do is offer your testimony at trial or to the state attorney. as to your friend i am sure this woman did not just freak out this one day and that your friend has had plenty of warning she could be destructive, so the harm she has done could only be avoided if had had taken action earlier.
