surrendering driver license
my boyfriend was convicted on a drug charge in va part of the sentence was his license being suspended for 6 months, my question is his license is a fl one, so does he have to surrender it to fl or va and can that be done while he's in jail , so that it will be clear when he's released.

Virginia authorities have no authority to suspend a Florida driver's license; what they suspended
was your boyfriend's privilege to operate a motor vehicle in the Commonwealth for which there is no need to formally surrender an actual license from another jurisdiction.
