Well if you have been convicted of a 2nd DUI it is mandatory for the Court to impose the ignition interlock as a penalty. It costs roughly $70 to install and roughly $70 for maintenance fees. Unfortunately, this penalty is mandatory even if you do not own your own vehicle. It will be your responsibility to provide probation with the vehicle you drive and have that vehicle modified with the interlock device.
