Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

What can my brother do???

Does my brother have to pay alamony or anything else to his soon to be ex-wife? My brother works and his wife does nothing. I mean nothing! She doesnt work, cook, clean, wash i mean doesnt do anything. There is nothing wrong with her physically or mentally so she can work but chooses not to. She did work like 2 years ago and stopped. They live with me and my brother left a week ago but she is still here in my house. He is still paying for her student loan when she went to school and the insurance on her car. They dont have any kids, no bank accounts together they have nothing together since they married 5 years ago. Does he have to pay her alamony or anything and how do I go about getting her out of my house? Please help!!!!!

You must bring an action to evict.

Re: What can my brother do???

Married only 5 yrs ago is probably not enough to justify alimony. That assumes someone files for divorce. It's his wife, he ought to tell her to move. If he can't, how about you asking her to move? It is not your duty to support her, it's your brother's.

The divorce will answers these questions for him.
