child support assistance

I have a question reguarding my boyfriend and his daughter he does not know what or how to ask.

He has a problem with wanting to know what and how can he go about the case that his ex is planning on taking to the state for child support she has told him that since he was only able to give her some money this week that she is going to take it to court he pays his ex money when ever she asks for it last month she asked for 400.00 dollars the month before she asked for around 350.00 he is court ordered to pay child support on another child he pays 270.00 a month on that child what can he do on his part of this legal asspect someone please help.....

He can file a suit for paternity asking the court to make a determination on whether or not he is the father of the child in question and ask the court to set a child support amount pursuant to Florida statutes.
