Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child Support after Child turns 18yrs

My daughter turned 18 7/2/99 She will graduate from High School 5/2000. I have received documents from her father requesting the court remove the income deduction order. Can I keep the child support enforced until she graduates?

What are my chances of achieving this now that she is 18? Please help me.

You really need to have the Final Judgment reviewed to see what the original trial judge ordered. There is no "yes/No", "black/white" answer. The original order will usually control, but if there is some legitimate reason she is not graduating until after age 18 the court may have discretion to order continued payments. good luck.
