my daughters boyfriend has tempory custody

of my granddaughter, my daughter is not available to go to court for her. I would like to know how as a grandparent

to get custody, the father which was the boyfriend has gone to

prison. my granddaughter was left with a girlfriend of his

she has no legal rights to the child, my grandaughter is 15

yrs old.how do I petition the court from Alabama for custody. can there be a court hearing by phone as we live in alabama and she is in florida? the judge told the father at the hearing he was to not leave this child with anyone other than a family member. thank you

You will have to petition the court for custody in the County where your granddaughter is living.
