my dog

My boyfriend bought me a dog. i signed all the papers for her. and now that were fighting he wont give her to me and saying he never bought her for me and that its his. is it possible to get my dog back?

It well may take court action. You know it is a he said/she said situation. Assuming he has the bill of sale in his name, he's proved up ownership. Then you have copies of the signed papers as the registered owner, no? Take him to small claims court and see what happens.

You'll have to take him to small claims court. You should be aware that the small claims judge may not award you the dog, but may award you the value of the dog, if you win. Dogs are considered property, just like a car or a TV, so, if you win in small claims, you usually don't get the actual item, you get its value. Small claims judges are a little more sensitive when it comes to pets, though, so the judge may award you the dog in place of the money.
