Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

We are mailing child support to my husband's ex-wife monthly for 2 children. We also pay 100% of the children's medical, car, gas, private school tuition, pre-paid college and various school/entertainment expenses. The children live with us 3 nights per week. The oldest will be leaving for college in June and living in another city. We will be paying 100% of her college living, gas, entertainment & food expenses. Do we still have to pay her 1/2 of the child support to her mother until she turns 18 if she does not reside with her? Can we send the money directly to the child? Also, when one child turns 18, do you just stop 1/2 of the the child support or do you need an official court order to do so?

Thanks!

From the looks of it you have overpaid child support. I suggest you file for modification of child support.
