Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

false police report

I just found out my ex-fiance filed a false report against me for theft. We have lived together fot almost 4 years, He was becoming very abusive and I left with only a few clothes and the laptop he bought me. I am applying for a job at the local police department and need to know how I make sure this is not going to affect my job, if so, how do I resolve this? We lived in Wisconsin and I moved back home to Florida.

NOTE: This communication is not intended as and should not be interpreted as legal advice. Rather, it is intended solely as a general discussion of legal principles. You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. By reading the "Response" to your question or comment, you agree that the opinion expressed is not intended to, nor does it, create any attorney-client relationship, nor does it constitute legal advice to any person reviewing such information, nor will it be considered an attorney-client privileged communication. If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.

You will need to repost this question so that an attorney in Wisconsin can respond. Since the alleged false report was filed in that state, any action would have to be taken there in order to try and correct it. A court or government agency in Florida will not have any jurisdiction.
