Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Hello. Can a company obligate you to attend an offsite / company event? I don't have any physical limitations and could attend however, the events usually involve 'creative' exercises which usually require a performance of some sort and I don't feel comfortable participating in them. I am not requesting that I completely skip-out on work during the event, but would rather simply just go to work on the day of the event. I also worry about reprocussions from not attending, although at this point, I don't have a choice. Thank You.

No, you do not have to go. Of course, they don't have to continue to employ you, either.
