Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Salary and PTO

I was a salaried Manager of a retail store. I have recently been terminated and have a few questions:

1.) I provided a 2 weeks notice and was asked to leave that day - does my employer have to pay me for those 2 weeks?

2.) Recently I worked 146 hours in 2 weeks and received no OT - the following week I took 2 days and was docked for those days. The employer doesn't provide any PTO until after 1 yr of employment. Should I have been docked for the 2 days?

Re: Salary and PTO

Probably not. Were you salary exempt or were you hourly? This type of situation requires a detailed analysis. Feel free to call my office to discuss whether you may be entitled to overtime from your former employer. As to the 2wks notice, no requirment for them to have you stay or pay you for those two weeks.
