Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I worked for a firm for 5 years and they held meetings with about 85 employees saying that they were closing the department and if they could not find us a spot we would be let go, we all started looking for other employment, I gave notice and quit, the new job did not work out and now the place I worked at for 5 years says I can not get unemployment, If they had not closed the department I would not have left the firm. I do have an e-mail from the owner saying I was a valued employee and he was sorry they did not have a spot for me. Do I have a case for appeal to be able to get my unemployment ?

I would probably appeal their denial of unemployment benefits. If you have questions on the process check out my employee rights blog at www.takethisjobnshoveitblog.com.
